Most of the content can be found on the blog page. Our blog is laid out in an clear, concise, and clean format. It has been designed to be easy to see what the post is about before you click on it.
Content is typically in the form of text (written words), audio, or video. As we expand the content of this website, we will adding more audio and video.
There is also a sorting function at the top of the blog page. Use the sort to make it easier to find related information. As the content grows in this website, we may add new sorting categories to make things easier for you.
The search function is probably the most powerful way to find information. You can type anything you wish to search into the search box, and all content containing your search term(s) will come up in the results. The search results will include content from all areas of the website, not just the blog.

Our home page is the main page of this website. The home page provides you with relevant links as well as relevant information. The bottom of the home page contains our latest blog posts so you can quickly see what is new.
You can easily get back to the home page from wherever you are on the website by clicking the logo at the top of the page or by clicking the “home” tab on the left side of the main navigation menu.

Getting Started With Gold & Silver
Ok, so how do we get started with gold and silver? I’m going to give you the basics right here. Maybe (with your encouragement) we will make a video or audio introduction… so let us know if that is what you’d like!
Just like anything that you wish to do, learning how to do it right will increase your level of success. Because we are dealing with gold and silver, making mistakes can be costly. It is very important that you understand your risks. I am not trying to scare you, but I am telling you that what you do is your own responsibility, so don’t make a purchase until you feel you have gained enough knowledge.
So let’s jump into what you need to know to get comfortable. You will notice throughout this website that we focus on three key areas: Authentication, Valuation, and Strategy
Although we strongly believe in having a strategy (more on that later), authentication and valuation will be what you need to be comfortable with to begin buying gold and silver.
Authentication is the process of determining if the gold or silver you are considering is real. Authentication is obviously very important so you can be sure you the gold and silver you are considering is authentic. After all, a great deal on fake gold is no deal at all. Learning how to authenticate is a fundamental skill you must have.
You’ll need to learn how to understand the markings that you will find on various forms of gold and silver. You’ll need to know what tools are out there for testing gold and silver for authenticity. There are manual testing formats and there are electronic devices for testing gold and silver. There are even special devices for testing other forms of bullion such as specific coins.
You probably want me to teach you this right here on this page, but that is going to require more than just this page. For now, I want you to understand what you must learn as you begin this journey. You should find everything you need on this website, and if you don’t be sure to ask us so we can help you.
Valuation is the process by which you can arrive at the value of the gold and/or silver you wish to buy. Valuation is just as important as authentication because you never want to overpay! Once you determine the authenticity of your bullion, you’ll need to determine what it is worth.
To learn how to value gold and silver, you will need to understand weight and the units of measure that are used. You will also need to know how to determine purity – that is, how to tell what percentage of the metal is pure and what percentage has other added metals. When other metals are combined, the result is known as a metal alloy. Alloys are used to change the characteristics of the gold or silver. For instance, adding other metals to gold can make it stronger and durable, making it suitable for use in things like jewelry and coins.
You will also need to understand what gold and silver is trading for on the open market. This value is known as the spot price. The spot price is in a state of flux, meaning it changes. You will need to understand how the spot price is utilized in accordance with valuations set for buying and selling gold and silver.
Value of gold and silver can also be affected by other factors, such as collectability and rarity of each item. This website focuses on the melt value of gold and silver. That means that we show you how to buy gold and silver based on the actual gold or silver contained in the bullion.
To meet your objectives, you’ll first need to know what your objectives are. Your strategy includes figuring out where you want to go, but it is so much more than that. It also includes developing an acquisition plan based on those objectives, as well as considerations for where and how you will be storing and accessing your gold and silver.
You may feel the need to just buy gold and silver, yet a strategy is actually quite important. As a newbie it is more important to understand authentication and valuation, but you’ll definitely want to have at least a basic strategy in place when you begin buying gold and silver.
Your next step here should be check out our blog and to ask us questions. Our blog has special sorting functions to bring up posts specifically about Authentication and Valuation. There is also a sort based on Education. These are all great places to begin exploring!
